When applying Turning to Story lessons to writing, where should you start? What order of episodes should you go in?

Iterations of this question frequently populate our inbox, and we’ve always been a bit flummoxed as to how to answer it, in part because we don’t think there is one right way. But as you’ll hear, it turns out that each of our methods was similar to the other’s, so we came to a consensus between us.

We tried to provide a linear guide for ease of understanding, but limited it to drafting so it wasn’t too overwhelming. So much of writing is going back and forth between phases. Remember, this is a VERY loose guideline, and there is no one “right” way to write.
