1. greetings to everyone except edward
It’s the third of our minisodes, and we’re so excited to share it with you!
Did you enjoy our third rail minisode? How about our thoughts on balancing your internal plot with your external one?
This week, we’re diving into a question we’ve avoided week after week. As a reminder, if you’d like to submit a question for a future minisode, you can do so here.
Ready for this week’s? It’s now available wherever you get your pods!
2. this week’s topic
When applying Turning to Story lessons to writing, where should you start? What order of episodes should you go in?
Iterations of this question frequently populate our inbox, and we’ve always been a bit flummoxed as to how to answer it, in part because we don’t think there is one right way. But as you’ll hear, it turns out that each of our methods was similar to the other’s, so we came to a consensus between us.
See the visual below for our general answer. Tune in to hear our explanation of why as well as where other episodes fall into this process, and why we didn’t include every single episode.

3. this week’s resources
This week is all about our previous episodes and how to use them. You can listen to them wherever you get your podcasts. While season 1 episodes don’t have accompanying newsletters (yet), you can read about any episode from season two here.
Have a suggestion for a future topic? Reply in the comments, to this email, or shoot us a message. We’d love to answer your craft-related questions!
